Charities

Why give money to charities?

All charities are struggling now as their incomes are falling. We want our members to nominate a charity and we will ask Texaco to donate extra profits to the most popular, up until they reach the required numbers to be able to reduce fuel prices.

Of course, we can’t force them to donate money to charity. They could just say thanks and keep the extra cash.

But we can try to get them to do it by pointing out at the start that we are giving them the extra custom in return for them doing this. And pointing out that our custom can just as easily be moved somewhere else.

We are not asking them to lose anything, only donate extra profits to charity or reduce prices.

If they want to ignore the wishes of 375,000 new customers, that’s their decision.

But if they disrespect new customers, what are they saying?

We don’t really want you?

And what does that say to their existing customers?

Look, just give us your money and shut up. We don’t really care if you go somewhere else?

So we need members to do 3 things:

  1. Join, and move to Texaco. When you join, tell us your favourite charity.

  2. Tell your friends to join and move to Texaco. Use emails, blogs, Facebook and Twitter to spread the word.

  3. Tell your favourite charity to tell all its supporters to join and move to Texaco.

Please send details of any charity you wish to add to the list to info@votewithyourwheels.co.uk
